Kanji are ideographic characters. Each Kanji character represents an

entire object, idea, or meaning in a visually expressive way.

 

Some are unique, artistic and beautiful. That's why so many people choose

Kanji symbols for their embroidered logo design. Words in Japanese can be written

three different ways. Kanji characters can be embroidered to represent an idea or meaning. Words and names can also be embroidered using one of two different Japanese alphabets, Hiragana and Katakana.

The Japanese Katakana and Hiragana alphabet consist of 46 signs, which were originally from Kanji,

but simplified over the centuries. Here is the Katakana and Hiragana alphabets with the corresponding letter of the roman alphabet.

To translate your name to the Japanese equivalent, use the alphabets phonetically, have a look at the first table to see how some names

would look, then have a try yourself to see if you can write your own name in Japanese.
